Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bostitch MIIIFS 1-1/2-Inch to 2-Inch Pneumatic Floor StaplerCustomer Review: Industry standard - buy it Summary: 5 StarsNo reason not to purchase this stapler if you have to install hardwood flooring. The only alternative is normally a floor nailer, and I tend not to like them since the staple seems to seat better. With floor nails I have often had to pry/bust out or use a nail set to make sure the tongue fits in the groove. Bostitch thus has the best product for T&G flooring in my opinion. I don't do it for a living, but I have personally installed over 5000 sq. ft. in 3 homes.
Customer Review: Great 3/4" Hardwood Flooring Nailer.....That's it Summary: 4 StarsWorks great as a true 3/4" hardwood flooring nailer. I do not recommend it even with the attachment for laminates or engineered products. It damages the flooring.
Customer Review: The perfect flooring stapler Summary: 5 StarsThis tool performed flawlessly. I installed 1000+ square feet of 3/4" oak flooring without any problems. With the correct air pressure setting it seated the 2" staples prefectly every time. Even when I was near the walls and couldn't get a complete swing with the mallet, the actuator performed properly. This tool functions as well as when it was new after many hours of use. I can't imagine how long you'd have to use this tool to wear it out. It is very durable and well constructed. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Pro Tool Summary: 5 StarsI used this tool on my first DIY prefinished hardwood flooring job. My compressor regulator was set at ninety pounds and with B & C Eagle ABCS1516 2-Inch Hardwood Flooring Staples, using it was a breeze. Pulls the boards in tight and flat to the floor and didn't damage the tongues. Never had a jam, although if you don't have it seated and firmly planted on the floor, you may get a staple that doesn't go all the way through. Used a Dremel to cut the staple and then restapled. With 3&1/4 boards, only had to face nail one row against the wall. Smaller than that I'd say you may have to do two rows. All in all, I would definitely buy and use this tool again.
Customer Review: This Stapler Works Summary: 5 StarsI planned to install hardwood floor in my 4 bedrooms. I was new to installing floors. My friends recommended to install the floor using Floating method. I did that and it worked but I did not like the feeling of the floor. It was a floating feeling. So, I decided to spend some money and do it right. I purchased a Makita air compressor (Hot Dog), Bostitch N62FNK-2 Finish nailer and a MIIIFS Floor stapler from Amazon.com. Air compressor and Nailer, stapler work great together. I installed one room, no jams and it works like a charm. Compressor keeps up with the demand. I used 3/8" Rubber hose with the compressor. Stapler came in a beatup box. I was concerned about it but when I used the stapler it worked fine from the word go. To install first 2 rows,I used the finish nailer to face nail the planks and then used the stapler. I love the feeling of a solid floor instead of floating it. Every body in the family loves the new floor. Great tools. Highly recommended.
